Projection TV Tune-up

After a number of years your wonderful big screen may not have the sharpness that it once had. the picture has gotten a bit dull and dark. In everyday use, it accumulates dust and dirt over the optical components also Picture tubes or “CRTs” deteriorate with usage. This is especially true with projection type televisions. The three CRTs (One for each primary color: Red, Green and Blue) do not age at the same rate. One may be stronger or weaker than the other two. This can throw off color temperature and black & white tracking alignment of the display. A black-and-white picture is no longer shades of gray, but has a pronounced colored tint to it. Flesh tones are inaccurate. Also color convergence, electrical focus and picture geometry can drift somewhat with age.
